NBMLHD’s 500+ bed university teaching hospital, Nepean Hospital, is undergoing a $1 billion redevelopment. Stage 1 will deliver a 14 storey clinical tower including 12 additional state of art operating theatres, over 200 beds, one of Australia’s largest emergency departments, 18 birthing suites and a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The new tower will herald a new era in patient care and new opportunities.
The redevelopment will deliver capacity for dedicated spaces for research, clinical trials, and staff education and training. This will further integrate innovation into the daily activity of one of New South Wales’ largest and busiest university teaching hospitals.
